About the Position: Serve as a supply technician performing order processing, receipt, storage, and shipment of ammunition, and general clerical support. This position is under the Acquisition Demonstration Project.

Duties

Preparing shipping documents (e.g. weight, cube and pallet calculations). Utilizing various automated systems/databases. Receive and direct inquiries. Maintaining electronic supply records.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles and must possess and maintain installation driving privileges.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% or less of the time.

Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes entering supply receipt information into electronic databases; coordinating work assignments with other employees and/or offices; creating shipping labels; researching electronic databases for supply locations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NJ-01). OR Education: Four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Oral CommunicationProduction and ProcessingTechnical Competence
