Salary: $117 962 - 153 354 per year

About the Position: Reports to the Division Director of Learning within the Civilian Protection Center of Excellence.

Duties

Conduct qualitative research and data analysis to generate reports, policy and research briefs, white papers and information papers, and other products related to civilian harm mitigation and response. Construct and present briefs to mid-level and senior staff, focusing on trends, lessons learned, and phenomena relating to civilian harm mitigation and response during combat operations. Examines the effects of various combat operations and tactics on civilian populations. Determine the research methodology, logical and effective sequence of the narrative, overall length, and tone of the research products, taking into consideration the objectives and audience. Identify critical issues related to civilian harm mitigation and response that impact current and future operations. Provide results of analyses and recommendations to appropriate DoD components, including the Combatant Commands (CCMDs), Military Departments, and the Joint Staff, to inform policy and operational adjustments aimed at reducing civilian harm.
