Salary: $163 964 - 191 900 per year

This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Asst Secretary for Community Planning and Development. Duties

As a Director Office of HIV/AIDS Housing, you will: Develop, recommend, promulgate and coordinate all policy for the Department's HIV/AIDS programs, including the Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS Program. Develop, recommend, promulgate and coordinate all operational guidance for the HOPWA program administered by CPD and any other related programs authorized by Congress. Develop and recommend budget justification and legislation for the HOPWA program administered by CPD, as well as any new programs and/or initiatives to address the housing and service needs of those living with HIV/AIDS. Oversee and monitor the Field Offices HOPWA programs. Participate in meetings, briefings and conferences with the White House, other Federal agencies and public interest groups on all matters affecting the persons living with HIV/AIDS.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-15 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes two or more of the following areas: Developing regulations and policy consistent with programs included in legislation for persons living with HIV/AIDS; AND Managing the development and/or administration of grant programs for persons living with HIV/AIDS; AND Developing and recommending budget justification for programs, including those for persons with special needs, as well as any new programs and or initiatives to address the housing and service needs of those living with HIV /AIDS. Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15 you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
