About the Position: Serves as the Supervisor, Documents and Digital Evidence Branch (D2E) of the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Laboratory (USACIL), an organization that provides forensic laboratory services and technical investigative support to the military criminal investigative agencies of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and other Federal law enforcement agencies, worldwide.

Duties

Serves as immediate supervisor performing a full range of supervisory functions. Provides technical oversight of branch examiners and technicians. Assigns work, based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of the assignment, and the capabilities of employees. Assigns performance ratings, approves awards, and takes performance based corrective actions. Serves as a recognized forensic expert performing professional and scientific work in document analysis. Enforces Compliance with laboratory policies, procedures, guidelines, and established safety and security protocols.

Requirements

  • Must comply with Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements. This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing.
  • Applicants tentatively selected for appointment to this position will participate in drug urinalysis testing unless currently occupying a TDP within the Department of Defense.
  • Will be required to sign DA Form 5019 (Condition of Employment for Certain Civilian Positions Identified as Critical Under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program) .
  • Requiring participation in random drug testing as a condition of employment.
  • Must obtain and pass a pre-employment physical.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license and government driver's license.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • This position is subject to the Lautenberg Amendment/Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968.
  • Must participate in DNA profiling database within the USACIL.
  • Maybe required to work overtime or other than normal duties hours.
  • Heavy Lifting (in excess of 50 lbs.) is required.
