As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.The incumbent provides leadership, direction, technical expertise, analysis, and guidance in a wide range of workers' compensation program support services.
Duties
The position serves as the Director within the Office of Human Resource Management, Office of Compensation, Benefits Strategy, and Worklife in the Workers’ Compensation Division AHB-300. The work activities impact directly on goals and objectives of the major subdivision, customer organizations, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
- This assignment is a 6-month reimbursable agreement. It may be extended or terminated at any time.
- The duties of this position cannot be performed remotely.
- Must be a current, permanent, federal employee.
- Must obtain and provide written supervisory approval to receive consideration for this opportunity.
- Must NOT have any pending/outstanding disciplinary actions.
- Must have achieved a minimum of "meets expectations" or equivalent on latest performance appraisal/evaluation.
- This is not a temporary promotion.
Qualifications
Preferred candidates for this position will document specialized experience related to this line of work which has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position.Specialized experience is defined as:Experience in applying the Federal Employees’ Compensation Act and workers’ compensation regulations and procedures. ANDExperience with developing and managing a national workers’ compensation program. ANDExperience with evaluating national program issues and devising policies and procedures to improve efficiencies, including cost containment processes and metrics.You should document relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history. You may be asked to provide evidence or documentation that you have this type of experience later in the selection process.
