About the Position: This is a Natural Resources Manager position for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa District, Tulsa Operations Division Fort Gibson Lake Office, located in Okay, Oklahoma.
Serves as Natural Resources Manager for a large geographical area, which includes a major reservoir project with complex and complicated natural resource and recreation programs that are subject to numerous problems.
Duties
The manager identifies areas where problems reflect endangered resources, limited funding, overcrowding, or underdevelopment.
Supervises implementation and coordination of approved mitigation plans and other authorized land management plans, operational controls, and procedures governing conservation and use of project resources.
Reviews requests for leases, licenses, and special use permits. And recommends appropriate courses of action to Real Estate Division.
Establish and oversee the continuing program of land and water patrols and inspections to prevent unauthorized use, trespass or destruction of property, and ensure visitor compliance with usage rules and regulations.
Coordinates and manages operation and management of recreation facilities, including campground, picnic areas, boat launching ramps, marinas, historical sites, overlooks, and visitor/information center(s).
Responsible for full-time, seasonal and temporary personnel engaged in the management, operation, and maintenance of lands and water.
Requirements

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
- Occasional Travel (TDY).

BASIC EDUCATION
Degree: biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
OR
Combination of education and experience: courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE.
Have one year of experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal Service performing the following duties: 1) Analyzing and planning organization work priorities, budget requirements and goals related to natural resources management, security, environmental management, park recreation facilities, and construction or repair of roads, grounds, or facilities; AND 2) inspecting and monitoring contractor progress and contract compliance, negotiations and modifications to contract specifications.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
