This position is part of the Agency Support Operations, Government Publishing Office in Washington,
District of Columbia.
Duties
Outlines priorities and deadlines and makes changes in operations where necessary.
Makes recommendations regarding commitment of resources to initiate, conduct and complete planned work.
Coordinates and monitors the operation of building services and ensures services are accomplished in a timely and efficient manner.
Functions as Contracting Officer's Representative for contracts related to maintaining the central GPO campus and grounds.
Uses expertise methodologies to include planning, scheduling and quality assurance for Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Process Control, and Quality Management methodologies.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is Required.
- Selectee must successfully pass pre-employment requirements prior to appointment.
- Selectee may be required to serve a one year probationary period.
- Males born after 12/03/59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Selectee must undergo a background investigation for a Non-Sensitive Low-Risk.
- TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must meet time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. Applicants must have served 1 year at the next lower grade level or equivalent grade level of federal service to qualify.
Qualifications
To qualify for the Group Manager, PG -0301-13, you must meet the following requirements:
The applicant must have one year equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-0301-12. You must be able to obtain and maintain a FAC-COR Level 1 Certification.
Specialized experience includes: 1. Coordinates detailed custodial services to meet various agencies timeline. 2. Supervises the Printing Plant Worker staff and policy direction for project priorities and objectives of the agency. 3. Collaborates with a wide variety of audiences (e.g., staff, customers, and executives) through oral and written presentations. 4. Monitors and inspects the costs, work, and contractor performance to ensure efficient delivery.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
