You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the LOGISTICS AND LIFE CYCLE ENGINEERING (40000) of NAVWARSYSCEN ATLANTIC CHARLESTON SC.

Duties

You will provide CB-ISEA SME technical support in the area of Tactical Data Links (TDL) . You will evaluate and determine support requirements to provide direct fleet supports to include performing In-service Engineering Activity (ISEA) sustainment functions for TDL Systems and Fleet technical support. You will approve invoices and overseeing contractors for TDL projects to include COR responsibilities. You will communicate with customers, technical leaders, and managers to help plan, execute, monitor, and test and evaluate highly complex and technical electric/electronic systems. You will work within established DoD policies, process, and procedures, independently or as a team. You will develop or provide technical input to plans and solutions for equipment installation, integration, or interoperability, systems corrective and prevent maintenance, risk management and mitigation, work estimates, and work schedules.

  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to a hostile area or CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Provide technical support in the area of Tactical Data Links (TDL) to include evaluate and determine support requirements; develop technical guidelines and procedures; perform installation, maintenance, operation, and testing duties.
