About the position: This position will be assigned to the Arts and Crafts, Beale AFB, CA.
This position is flexible, not guaranteed hours and does not receive benefits. Can work anywhere from 0-40 hours a week.
Must be physically able to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
Duties
Assists assigned personnel in all areas of the Skills Development Program including embroidery and Sublimation. Will focus on printing/assembly/order taking/organization. Complete customer orders in the absence of our primary leads in our various departments. Operates a variety of equipment in assigned area, to include computerized engravers, copiers, embroidery machines, heat presses, air brushes, pouring tables, kilns, mat cutters, choppers and hand power tools. Responsible for operating cash register, collect money, makes changes and issue receipts. Assist customers in placing special orders. Provides demonstration and guidance on crafts. Maintains clean, neat and safe work areas. Performs other related duties and assists facility supervisor as required.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.
- Requires continuous standing, walking, and stooping. Must be able to physically lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience with painting with other media, fabric crafts, engraving, glass crafts, embroidery, framing, and mat cutting required. Must be able to read and write, spell and figure basic math and measurements. Must have clear speaking voice and be able to deal with the public. May work uncommon work schedule, including weekends.

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
