You will serve as a TRAINING SYSTEM SPECIALIST in the 2d Marine Aircraft Wing, Safety and Standardization (DSS) section aboard Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina of II MARINE EXPEDITIONARY FORCE.
Duties
You will evaluate the effectiveness, adequacy and suitability of existing training equipment and systems.
You will coordinate closely with other Subject Matter Experts (SME) in analysis of required equipment functions and tracks status of all modification initiatives and new training equipment development and procurement.
You will monitor and evaluate the performance of contractors providing operation, maintenance, and instruction services on assigned equipment.
You will interact extensively with the Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO) and contractors.
You will request and coordinate shifts to Contracted Training Time (CTT), Contractor Instruction periods and premium time authorizations to meet operational requirements.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating the effectiveness, adequacy and suitability of existing training equipment and systems. Identifying, analyzing, and resolving developmental or training program issues to provide advice and guidance to employees and managers.

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
