This position is located in Field Operations Directorate, Office of Field Operation,DISTRICT 22.
As a Special Assistant, you will be responsible for understanding the primary roles and responsibilities of the Field Office Director. You will also provide support and program management duties for a broad range of administrative and operational functions.
Duties
Manages a wide-range of sensitive and confidential special assignments of great personal interest and concern to the Field Office Director.
Assists the Field Office Director and senior leaders with reviewing, maintaining, and updating applicable sections of administrative publications that outline policies, procedures, and processes.
Manages information for the Field Office Director and staff through the use of existing and emerging Information Technology tools.
Responsible for oversight, management and coordination of cases and requests that must be routed to the District or Regional office for resolution or review.
Qualifications
The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 08/07/2024.
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 08/07/2024
GS-13: You qualify at the GS-13 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
Applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations.
Managing special projects by planning and preparing analysis with the use of charts, diagrams, slides and other visual material for use in the communication of information.
Collecting relevant information from varied sources to devise new techniques to evaluate findings and make authoritative recommendations.
