About the Position: This position is with the National Guard Bureau, Joint Staff, Office of Public Affairs and Strat Comms, Arlington, VA. About the Surrounding Area: Situated in Northern Virginia on the south bank of the Potomac River directly across from Washington D.C. Arlington is headquarters to many departments and agencies of the federal government, including the Department of Defense and is the location of many national memorials and museums.

Duties

Provide recommendations on organization structure and other data pertinent for improvement of the Visual Information (VI) processes and work phases. Keep supervisor appraised of progress of work and problems encountered. Determine resource needs, funds, space, personnel, equipment, and established objectives. Knowledge of the Visual Information (VI) functional areas of photography, digital imaging, illustration, and production is required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes; Engage in a variety of creative occupations to include photography, computer graphics, broadcast production, digital audio and video editing, multimedia production, or other illustrations using applications such as Adobe Creative Suite; participate in planning and direction of all programs and activities; assist in preparing Visual Information (VI) policy; analyze Visual Information (VI) plans, and operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service (GS-12 or equivalent). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Communications and MediaFinancial ManagementProblem Solving Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
