You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the G4 DIVISION of MARINE FORCES PACIFIC.

Duties

You will serve as principal advisor and exercise executive responsibilities on a broad range of complex and multi-faceted logistics issues and administrative matters. You will provide advice, leadership, and direction in the development, revision, and review of logistics policy documents, posture plans, assessments, ground equipment readiness and logistics commodity areas and initiatives. You will manage the daily administrative, resource, operational, and logistics support functions. You will draft, edit, and personally deliver reports, presentations, and papers, to internal and external senior officers and executive level leadership. You will be responsible for the oversight, development, execution, and reconciliation of the annual budget for Temporary Additional Duty (TAD), civilian training requirements, operations and maintenance expenses, and official representation funds. You will be directly responsible for the direction, management, and oversight of the Executive Administrative Branch and supervise and coordinate the activities of four functional branches within the division. You will exercise final authority for the full range of personnel actions and organizational design, mentor and advise staff, and develop and communicate performance standards.

• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
• Temporary promotions may be extended up to 5 years at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing theories utilizing the principles of supply chain (e.g. tactical, operational, and strategic) logistics operations; assessing operational methodologies, analyzing impact, and developing recommendations for decision making; evaluating policies and proposals for emerging concepts, requirements and programs; establishing, organizing, and leading teams to address multiple complex tasks to negotiate and/or obtain desired outcomes.
