The candidate will report to the Office of the Chief Administrator Officer / Medical Division. The ideal candidate for this position will has extensive experience with EMS/medical program and policy development, budgets, training, and logistics for a large organization, as well as medical support/planning for complex incidents.

Qualifications
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The time-in-grade and qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for this position at the GS-14 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:
Developing written policies, procedures, and protocols for medical programs for a large organization, AND
Directing and managed the work, resources, and priorities of the EMS personnel (paramedics) in a large organization or system, AND
Planning operational medical support for disasters, national special security events, or other major incident response/deployment, AND
Conducting training events in CPR/AED, Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC)/Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), and/or CBRN/WMD/HAZMAT response.

Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education(external link) at the time the degree was obtained.
