The Salary range indicated reflects the locality pay adjustments for the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan area. The incumbent of this position may work a flexitime work schedule. non-supervisory, bargaining unit position. Relocation expenses will not be authorized for the person(s) selected under this vacancy announcement.

Duties

Schedules and prepares social media posts across the Library’s primary accounts, including the Library's main Twitter feed and Facebook page. With supervision and guidance, suggests new opportunities to engage online audiences and to engage with other organizations to amplify LOC content.

Qualifications

Applicants must have had progressively responsible experience and training sufficient in scope and quality to furnish them with an acceptable level of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position without more than normal supervision. Ability to perform social media and public affairs support. Ability to perform marketing, publicity, promotion of programs, events and outreach activities. Ability to communicate in writing. Ability to interact collaboratively with others, exercising judgment and discretion Ability to plan, organize and execute work. Ability to communicate effectively other than in writing.
