You will serve as a PROGRAM ASSISTANT (STUDENT MEDICAL LIAISON) in the Student Control Department
of OFFICER TRAINING COMMAND.
Duties
You will have computer literacy and skills to develop, input, access, and retrieve information from various databases; perform word processing and spreadsheet functions; and document, track, and generate reports as required.
You will have knowledgeable of medical terminology.
You will understand the Health Insurance and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996 and able to apply rules and processes related to general office filing, storage procedures of Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
You will understand compliance with privacy act laws and compliance with privacy act laws and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations.
You will have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-06) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of Officer Training Command (OTC) structure, programs, and work methods to aide in the scheduling medical and dental appointments of students; 2) Having knowledge of health care services available at the local Military Facility Treatment (MTF) facility and procedures to perform such duties as providing information to students and medical staff; and 3) Utilizing computer software to develop, input, access, and retrieve information from various facility driven databases; perform word processing and spreadsheets functions; and document, track, and generate reports as required by the Command.
