You will serve as a HOUSING MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT in the Installation and Environment Division Housing Branch of MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO.

Duties

You will interview and counsel military and DoD personnel seeking housing assistance. You will assign or terminate occupancy of PPV quarters. You will assist with the Allotment Process and access Unit Diary to prepare and certify allotments. You will provide personnel with information regarding HUD programs or other subsidized housing programs, referring applications to appropriate housing projecs under various program for which they qualify. You will inspect existing and new properties to ensure that they are safe and sanitary. You will assist in the collection of data and preparation of the annual Family and Unaccompanied Personnel Housing Requirements Survey.

Requirements

• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing information and counseling to personnel seeking housing referral services. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

1 full year of graduate level education

OR

Bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement

OR

Combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent
