About the Position: This position is with the 99th Readiness Division, Customer Support Branch, Information Management Office, Fort Dix, NJ.

Duties

Coordinate Command, Control, Communications, Computers (C4) IT service delivery for the Readiness Division. Determine hardware configuration and site preparation requirements. Attend high level conferences and meetings to exchange data and discuss technical issues. Maintain deficiency reports, status reports, and required correspondence. Monitor operation of the network and ensure that hardware/software are functioning properly and operation standards are met. Manage Command SharePoint portal permissions and add, remove, or modify SharePoint links, pages, and web parts. Provide technical services such as cost estimating, technical specifications, and benchmarking. Provide second tier telephonic, desk-side, and workbench support. Schedule service delivery or hardware installation and removal. Manage trouble tracking database to record and retrieve customer support requirements. Plan and execute the installation and operation of new equipment, techniques, or Procedures. Oversee implementation of new system hardware/software and develop operating procedures.

Attention to Detail - Thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Knowledge of established IT techniques, requirements, and methods in order to execute assignments and current technical skills, methods and practices. Experience installing, testing, and implementing new software releases and files; including Microsoft products, installation and repair of printers, building images for PCs, configuration of VTC equipment and wireless devices such as Blackberries. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers to assess needs, provide information or assistance, resolve problems, or satisfy expectations; knows about available products and services; committed to providing quality products and services. Ability to respond to and resolve customer problems, through remote means, experience in providing customer assistance and individual or group training related to supported products and services. Knowledge of and experience with implementing systems with the Army Gold Master image. Oral Communication - Expresses information to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information; makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives and to make recommendations. Knowledge of rules, operating procedures, and processing methods to perform a wide range of IT assignments and procedural problem solving. Define clear-cut problem areas, gather and analyze data, form and communicate conclusions and recommendations, and provide input on portions of complex projects. Basic knowledge of prevailing practices in IT to propose alternate approaches and/or to resolve problems. AND Your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience that has equipped you with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to the work of the position being filled. Such experience is typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT.
