About the Position: This position will serve as a Supervisory Training Instructor (Joint C-SUAS) with US Army Air Defense Artillery School, Fires Center of Excellence (FCoE) located at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. The incumbent of this position will work independently based on previous Joint C-sUAS technical and tactical knowledge, experience, overall knowledge of Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS), and multiple Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS) UAS platforms.

Duties

Supervises employees and plans work to be accomplished, interprets policy procedures and established priorities. Serves as a Training Instructor to the Director of the C-sUAS University on matters involving UAS planning and operations throughout the training course of Joint Services and Allied country attendees. Follows the approved programs of instruction (POI) and prepares lesson plans for each subject. Instructs on the C-SUAS operations planning, system deployment, and adjustments of all Program of Instruction (POI) directed C-SUAS systems, along with integrated Forward Area Air Defense (FAAD) systems. Analyzes training materials to assure instructional techniques are effective and efficient. Conducts validation and reliability studies to determine overall educational effectiveness of training products. Serves as a member of academic deficiency panels; serves as class advisor; counsels students. Provides instructor support in the areas of training analysis, design and distributed training.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel is approximately 25% of the time.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Curriculum DevelopmentEducation / Training Program AdministrationInstructional Delivery and Learner DevelopmentManaging Human Resources Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
