About the Position: Fort Cavazos rests in the beautiful 'hill and lake' country of Central Texas between Killeen and Copperas Cove and is approximately 60 miles north of the capital city of Austin, 50 miles south of Waco, 160 miles south of Dallas, and 150 miles north of San Antonio.

Duties

Perform a variety of administrative/technical and associated typing/office automation duties related to the processing of work management data in systems such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS). Interpret and apply regulations, manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies and directives, contracts, agreements, Memorandums of Understanding, sometimes in difficult and complicated transactions. Process Work Requests, DMO’s, and PMO’s through operation of the Work Management Customer Service Area, Area Shop Work Control Center, for the assigned work center (WC), entire installation, tenant activities, and other authorized customers.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • The skills of a fully qualified typist are required.
  • The incumbent must successfully pass a pre-employment and recurring physical examination.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
