This position is located in the District of Columbia Superior Court / Washington, DC. The selectee of this position serves as a Supervisory Program Support Specialist. You will be responsible for maintaining and implementing internal controls for program areas and serving as an assistant to the District's Administrative Officer.

Duties

As a Supervisory Program Support Specialist at the GS-0301-12 level, some of your typical work assignments may include: Supervising subordinate administrative staff . Working closely with the Administrative Officer (AO) on implementing processes for providing administrative services for the district's main and/or sub-off ice(s); Analyzing the district's financial obligations and expenditures to ensure compliance with USMS policies and procedures; Providing advice and assistance to management on HR matters and/or issues; Providing oversight of the property management program; and Assuring contractors are performing projects that have quality and timeliness measures in place. Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-0301-12 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: 1. Specialized Experience: At least one year of full-time specialized experience at or equivalent to the grade GS-11 in the Federal Service performing duties which include: 1) Providing oversight of office administrative services in order to investigate, evaluate and resolve a variety of problems and/or conditions; 2) Monitoring a budget to ensure that funds are obligated; 3) Compiling, reviewing and analyzing report data for completeness and accuracy; 4) Serving as a liaison between management and the human resources office in order to provide advice and assistance on HR matters; and 5) Monitoring, and/or approving, and controlling accountable government equipment, material, and supplies. AND Possession of the following competencies: Leadership: Influences, motivates, and challenges others; adapts leadership styles to a variety of situations. Administration and Management: Knowledge of planning, coordination, and execution of business functions, resource allocation, and production. Financial Management: Prepares, justifies, and/or administers the budget for program areas; plans, administers, and monitors expenditures to ensure cost­ effective support of programs and policies; assesses financial condition of an organization. Personnel and Human Resources: Knowledge of hiring, classification, benefits, labor relations, negotiation, and federal, state and local employment regulations. Manages Resources: Selects, acquires, stores and distributes resources such as materials, equipment or money. Education

Applicants may not qualify for this position based on education in lieu of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level.
