The primary purpose of this position is to serve as manager of the Command Aerospace Vehicle Distribution Officer Program for Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC). Verifies that the equipment inventory, multiple status, and utilization reporting system (EIMSURS) of the Reliability and Maintainability Information System program has accurate and Current data.
Duties
DUTY 1: Serves as program manager for AVDO.
DUTY 2: Serves as the MAJCOM point of contact for maintenance plans, scheduling and documentation maintenance information system and/or mission support applications used in support of HQ USAF/MAJCOM policy and directives.
DUTY 3: Attends meetings and presents briefings.
DUTY 4: Serves as the senior technical advisor on Aircraft Logistics Systems.

- This is a position in which the incumbent is required to formulate, determine, and/or influence policies. Must be highly knowledgeable of the AFRC mission and responsibilities, especially as pertaining to aircraft maintenance.
- Must possess demonstrated leadership and managerial abilities essential for successful accomplishment of responsibilities inherent in this position.
- The work is primarily sedentary with some walking, standing, bending in conjunction with travel and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the work site
- The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries, residences or commercial vehicles.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness program operations, using knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, policies, and precedents which affect the use of program and related support resources, using knowledge of the major issues, program goals and objectives, and work processes of the organization and application of knowledge of manpower support procedures.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Extensive knowledge of IMDS (AFCSM 21-564), REMIS (AFCSM 25-524), the Air Force Knowledge System (AFKS), the Maintenance Scheduling Application Tool (MSAT), the Joint Reliability Availability Management System (J-RAMS), and other Maintenance Information Systems and how they interface
2. Extensive knowledge of: organization's mission and functions, program objectives, and assigned weapons systems; DOD, Air Force, AFRC, and gaining MAJCOM maintenance policies, procedures, and instructions, e.g. AFI 21-103, Equipment Inventory, Status Utilization reporting and error correction and AFI 61-402, Aerospace Vehicle Programming,, Assignment, Distribution, Accounting and Termination; support Agreements, Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) and Memoranda of Agreements (MOA).
3.Demonstrated skill in utilizing Task Management Tool (TMT) to review, coordinate, and process unit requests such as Manpower Change Requests (MCR) and staff or Higher Headquarters taskers.
4. Expert ability to use computer systems/programs and Microsoft software to perform highly complex data analysis and produce detailed reports applicable to a management engineering studies; data manipulation and extraction techniques; processing manpower change request forms and other relevant documents; and demonstrated skill locating and accessing information with a personal computer and software programs.
5. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
6.Proven ability to independently carry out and complete assignments; analyze issues, provide technical authority and formulate solutions from simple to complex; and present a professional and courteous image when communicating (verbally/written/presentations) with senior leadership and customers.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
