This position is located at Whiteriver, Arizona in the Whiteriver Service Unit within the Dietary Services. The purpose of this position is to provide quality food service to patients, employees, and guests through food preparation, service, and sanitation. Hours of duty are on a rotating schedule that include holiday and weekend shifts. Such work assignments will involve service being scheduled on an emergency basis as needed.

Duties

Prepares and cooks a variety of menu items including regular and special diet entrees and desserts. Utilize a variety of kitchen equipment to fry, griddle, grill, boil, bake, steam, mix, slice, chop, shred, measure, and weigh in preparing food. Plans, coordinates, and manages work assignments to assure food items are prepared per schedule and at proper temperature for serving. Reads and utilizes standardized recipes. Performs food preparation and cooking tasks for all types of hot and cold menu items, using appropriate quantity cooking methods. Perform routine and special cleaning duties such as: sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning tables, food carts, windows, stoves, sinks, freezers and refrigerators in kitchen and dining room; sorting, stacking and washing dishes, pots and pans.
