The primary purpose of this position is to test and evaluate state-of-the-art weapon systems and cyberspace capabilities, provide quality installation and mission support, and serve as responsible stewards of our resources to deliver war-winning capabilities.
Duties
Provide operational program analysis and support to upper-level management to measure current status against planned objectives.
Actively participate in logistic program planning to improve organizational direction and focus using strategic planning tools and techniques.
Analyze critical elements of organization logistics functions continuously, important problems as needed and less important items on a random sampling basis and serves as a process improvement specialist.
Represent the Logistics Readiness Squadron with a variety of installation and functional area organizations and acts as squadron lead for the Wing Inspection Team (WIT).

Qualifications
Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 3 years of progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to the next lower broadband NH-01, or equivalent to the next lower grade GS-4 in other pay systems. Generalized experience is experienced to analyze and evaluate logistics operational requirements through examining problems, or potential problem areas identified by agency leadership, unexpected fluctuations or trends in statistics. Research, interpret, analyze and apply Department of Defense, Air Force, Major Command, and local guidelines, policies, and instructions. Evaluate the organization self-inspection program through the Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT); review formal inspection reports, audits, complaints, and other reports to ensure adverse findings/trends are addressed and/or corrected. Assess unit programs to ensure compliance, ensuring squadron's preparedness for major inspections. Establish metrics and analysis systems as necessary to ensure actions are timely and reviewed at critical points. Apply authenticated management techniques in the logistics process analysis which includes making valid statistical comparisons, predicting future effects, and recommending actions to correct negative deviations. Continuous Process Improvement and Innovation (CP2I) team, facilitate process improvement and innovation activities using various continuous process improvement strategies as appropriate. OR EDUCATION: The successful completion of a 4-year course study leading to a bachelor's degree. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.
OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: An equivalent combination of successfully completed, qualifying education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements. General experience directly related to the work of the position may be used to meet the requirements of this position. Education in excess of a post-high school education may be used to qualify applicants for the NH-02 level. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of a wide range of well-established and commonly applied logistics principles, concepts, operations, directives, programs, and procedures.
Skill in gathering, assembling, and analyzing data/facts, developing conclusions, identifying trends, developing alternatives/solutions, and making recommendations to resolve problems.
Knowledge of operations and/or procedures to provide services and resolve issues and problems of a procedural nature in logistics operations, planning, or program management.
Knowledge of existing DoD, Air Force, and MAJCOM guidance related to evaluating exercise and inspection operations; to include DoD and AF administrative, exercise, and inspection policies, procedures, techniques, and practices.
Knowledge of inspection program objectives and methods used to evaluate the effectiveness of processes.
Knowledge of process improvement techniques and skill to develop innovative and feasible solutions to complex issues
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
