This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties
Serve as primary point of contact for operation, maintenance and design specifications relating to the organizations Electrical Distribution systems.
Responsible for the Quality Assurance Surveillance, monitoring, and performance evaluation of contracts for the Electrical Program.
Review design efforts for contracted projects for repair or replacement of electrical items such as sub-stations, electrical distribution systems, building electrical systems, lighting and generators.
Coordinate electrical engineering projects and studies assigned to firms, the Corps of Engineers, or other design services from assignment of the project to completion of construction.
Manage the installation corrosion control program for utility lines and tanks to ensure routine maintenance is completed.

- TDY travel may be required occasionally.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience: Have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes the following. Assist Full performance Engineering Technician with operations, maintenance and design specifications relating to Electrical Distribution systems for large geographical areas. Research information to provide the information for those completing sampling plans and surveillance procedures, utilizing checklists, and other guidelines to monitor contractor performance. Work with contractor's and inspect workers who perform corrosion repairs, installs, troubleshooting, and testing of galvanic along with impressed current ground beds, manual and automatic rectifiers, wraps, and protective coatings.
