About the Position: This position is located at the Travis AFB Medical Treatment Facility.

Duties

Serve as the Quality Assurance Evaluator (QAE) for the Hospital Aseptic Management System (HAMS) contract and alternate QAE for the Hospital Security and Resource Protection Services. Ensures Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) databases and facility drawings are current. Ensures accurate reports are provided to the Flight Commander detailing the status of all contracts. Assists the medical center Facility Manager as needed.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment .
  • This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting quality insurance inspections of a contractor's performance; managing facility annual contracts such as (Housekeeping, Hospital Information Security and Resource Protection Services (HISRPS), elevator maintenance, pneumatic tube system maintenance, pest control, hazardous materials, nurse call maintenance, security system maintenance, and TV/cable maintenance.); AND using automated systems such as Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS), Drawb ase, and computer aided design and drafting (CADD) programs to maintain a safe environment.. OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as contract management or facility management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Attention to DetailContract ManagementSafety EngineeringTechnical Competence
