Duties

Responsible for on-site management administration and implementation of projects in support of the housing management programs. Determine requirements for new or replacement furniture, appliances and equipment in accordance with established criteria or authorizations. Compile data for different reports pertinent to the availability of housing, customer service, and basic allowance for housing (BAH) surveys. Schedule and/or perform inspections of community rental property to determine suitability as a listing for referral. Coordinate commercial contracts for cleaning, repairing, installation of drapery, carpeting or blinds of facilities or residencies. Analyze legal and lease transaction documents to ensure all parties are in compliance. Update databases and reports that track the occupancy , maintenance and repair projects of the installation housing inventory.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires a valid, State-issued motor vehicle driver’s license.
  • Temporary Duty travel (TDY) may be required up to 5%.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Mediating rental complaints by and/or between landlords and tenants 2) Performing housing inspections to determine suitability as a listing for referrals 3) conducting activities to include housing referral and relocation support 4) updating databases and reports that track occupancy maintenance and repair projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcript.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
