About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W6TMAA NATIONAL GROUND INTELLIGENCE CENTER.

Duties

Provide advice and assistance to supervisor on direction of Chemical and Biological Warfare (CBW) Consequence Assessment (CA) modeling research and development to include anticipated value of technical results. Provide recommendations on the direction of the Army’s CBW CA modeling research initiatives. Formulate the Center's intelligence position on complex technical issues related to Consequence Assessment (CA) modeling. Develop overall analytical objectives, project scope, and emphasis through an assessment of customer requirements, organizational and community objectives. Mentor other CA analysts on the Team and within the CA modeling community Regularly represents the Army on intelligence community working groups and committees presenting significant CBW CA modeling issues, concepts, and analysis. Publish final intelligence production conveying analysis through clear and concise writing and visualizations.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a T5 (or equivalent) investigation.
• Requires Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time.
• All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
