Purpose of position to provide the LRS Commander and senior leadership with an assessment of the LRS's ability to perform key logistics processes ensuring standardized, repeatable, technically compliant process execution, while promoting a culture of professional excellence and personal responsibility.
Duties
Executes the Material Management Flight's standardization and evaluation programs.
Evaluates the quality of logistics processes performed in the Material Management Flight and reports results to the commander.
Promotes an environment where quality, safety, equipment reliability, job proficiency, and standardization remain at the core of all logistics processes.
Makes recommendations for improving effectiveness of all Material Management Flight processes and serves as the LRS focal point for oversight of technical activities and Material Management process improvement initiatives.

- The work may require the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver’s license may be required for the position.
- May be required to participate in contingency situations, both real world and exercise.
- Position requires exposure to and handling of hazardous materials; employee may be required to attend various training and refresher classes in the handling, storage, and tracking of hazardous materials.
- Must be able to complete and maintain proficiency in required quality assurance training courses/certifications (i.e. QA Evaluator Course, 8-Step Problem Solving, Exercise Evaluation Team (EET), NWRM Fundamentals).
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule, Administrative and Management Positions, General Supply Series, 2001.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-01, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include knowledge of a broad range of material management principles, policies, and practices; ability to read interpret, and apply applicable reference material to accomplish quality assurance and compliance tasks. Knowledge of established procedures and techniques for measuring quality assurance; skill and ability necessary to evaluate squadron performance; ability to document results, calculate trend analysis interpretation and perform follow-up evaluations to ensure corrective actions. Knowledge of automated office and supply systems. Knowledge of readiness and mobility issues. Knowledge of Safety, OSHA, and Security regulations, practices, and procedures concerning vehicle maintenance. Knowledge of communication techniques, principles, and directives; skill and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of and ability to review/audit/certify financial through automated processes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).
