This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, in the Office of Currency Manufacturing, WCF. As a Currency Processing Assistant, you will maintain and process large volumes of currency in a highly controlled, regulated, and secure team environment using high-speed processing equipment.
Duties
As a Currency Processing Assistant, you will:
Prepare and process currency on computerized state-of-the-art high- speed banknote processing machines, i.e. BPS 2000 OBIS.
Demonstrate processing data accuracy and adherence to procedures in the use of all automated systems to include daily requirements and balance requirements.
Immediately notify management of any increased shred rates, high levels of rejected work, or deviations.
Operate in compliance with all applicable Treasury-BEP, Board of Governors, Federal Reserve System regulatory policies and procedure at all times.
Perform periodic cleaning using low pressure air and vacuums.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-7, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-6 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Experience adhering to procedures in the use of automated systems; AND
Experience with various automated software functions such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.; AND
Experience using arithmetic when counting and sorting products; AND
Experience processing data accurately.
