About the Position: Serves as a Transportation Systems Specialist on either the mobilization, deployment, redeployment or demobilization standards team in the Deployment Process Modernization Office (DPMO). The DPMO mission is to serve as the single point of contact for deployment, developer of deployment requirements, expert on deployment doctrine and procedures Army-wide. The DPMO articulates Army deployment requirements to the Joint Community.
Duties
Produce deployment publications, including doctrine, policy, and web-based resources for use across the Army and Joint Force.
Analyze total Army deployment and redeployment requirements in coordination with Arm and Joint partners and stakeholders.
Prepare input for senior decision-makers on mobilization, deployment, redeployment or demobilization.
Proficient use of software and tools for production, editing, and publishing documents, including Microsoft 365 tools like Word, Excel, Publisher, Teams, and SharePoint.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing guidance to transportation operations during deployment and redeployment missions; developing transportation plans, policies, and procedures related to movement of units for mobilization; and utilizing automated transportation information systems for mobilization and deployment planning. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
