You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in the Training and Education Command of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND.
Duties
You will facilitate lessons per approved Master Lesson Files (MLF) and course control documents.
You will integrate theory in practice within lessons and learning programs.
You will prepare or revise learning materials, supporting video creation, and supporting assessment creation.
You will organize, illustrate, interpret, and adapt current lesson material as required to reach and motivate students.
You will create class schedules and activities for existing courses.
You will research, develop, and update course materials in accordance with prescribed course framework.
You will recommend substantive changes in lesson learning experience design documents or learning program materials.
You will prepare and maintain lesson plans for each lesson assigned.
You will compile and analyze Instructor Rating Forms (IRFs), Exam Rating Forms (ERFs), End of Course Critiques (ECCs), and Critical Information Questionnaires (CIQs) for each course.
You will foster a learning climate that is inclusive and invites learners to actively engage.
Requirements

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
Qualifications
GS-09:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector supporting learning facilitation in at least three continuums (designing, learning, facilitating learning, and assessing learning) of faculty development.
GS-07:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-05) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting with facilitation in at least one of the four continuums (designing learning, enabling learning, facilitating learning, and assessing learning) of faculty development.

Education
You may also meet the minimum qualifications through education and/or combination of education and experience by satisfying one of the following:
GS-09:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree.
OR
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related.
Applicant can also qualify with a combination of education and experience which when combined, equals 1 year specialized experience.
GS-07:
1 full year of graduate level education.
OR
Superior academic achievement.
