Duties
Provide supervision and guidance to and implements policy and procedure for the installation Supply Logistics Management Section.
Manage fiscal year budget in support of assigned supply management and support programs.
Supervise the Transportation and Motor Pool Section providing transportation management and motor pool maintenance.
Provide supervision and guidance to the installation Equipment Management Section for property accountability and management procedures.
Active participation and support of business process change implementation, deployment and sustainment, such as the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP), Shop Floor Automation (SFA), and similar efforts.
Provide leadership, professional guidance, advice and assistance on matters relating to civilian personnel management.
Requirements
- Position may be filled as a term appointment NTE 2 years. Term appointments may be extended beyond 6 years, up to 8 years. With DoD approval, term appointments may be extended beyond 8 years.
- Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a term appointment will be appointed/converted into a term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position requires incumbent to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- This position has a data analytics requirement. The incumbent must meet all requirements for data analytics level 2 certification within 12 months of being placed on the position.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:(1) Manage or assist in the implementation of an organizations Logistics Management Program such as Supply Chain Management, Transportation and Fleet Maintenance, Crane Operations, and/ or Shipping and Receiving; (2) Provide technical advice to higher level management and customers, related to logistics management such as strategic planning, logistics processes, acquisition processes, research and development, and/ or programming and budgeting; (3) Ability to lead and sustain process change efforts impacting multiple organizations; and (4) Working knowledge in organizational management and/or personnel planning to ensure the continuity of organizational operations.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
