About the Position: This position is for an Education and Training Program Manager serving as the Missile Defense Training Division Chief with the US Army Space & Missile Defense Command, CoE, US Army Space and Missile Defense School.

Duties
Independently develop goals, objectives and strategies as the integrator for Army Global Missile Defense education, operations, training and leader development programs.
Incumbent formulates training management, training development, administrative policy and decisions.
Primary advisor and consultant for the command pertaining to Global Missile Defense training development (TD), training leader/development (TLD), and training programs concepts, principles, policies, planning, methods, procedures, and execution.
Incumbent oversees aggregate schools and training support operations; organizational budgeting, manpower, and funding; training development; doctrine development; and institutional support activities including facilities and training support systems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to random drug testing. Selected applicants are required to sign a DA 5019 requiring participation in random drug urinalysis testing; verified positive results may be refused employment.
- Obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance.

Combination of Education and Experience: Courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described above. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the experience requirements listed below:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing military training programs; managing personnel; providing doctrine development and/or integration expertise; AND serving as a representative for military training and/or education in senior-level meetings or educational forums.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03).
