About the Position: Serves as Information Systems Management Specialist under the supervision of the Chief, Business Management Branch. Manages the identification and development of the resource requirements for the Information Technology (IT) program to support long range planning.
Duties
Provide business planning and financial reporting for IT solutions, tracks IT project expenditures and provides financial status reports to ensure projects remain within approved funding.
Prepare, monitor, justify and defend the budget, acquisition schedule, and milestone portions of programs.
Represent the command and meetings concerning IT program planning, funding, and requirements analysis.
Responsible for all IT program financial planning and execution matters.
Review and analyze new automation requirements for compliance with the command's IT architecture objectives and standards.
Review and analyze IT requirements and develops procedures for managing programs throughout their entire life cycle.
Conduct IT resource and technical assessments, develops IT metrics, cost schedules and performance baselines to measure progress of objectives against programmed baseline, variances, and latest revised estimates and corrective actions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes: (1) Executing financial management for a federal agency or program; (2) Working with both appropriated funding and working capital funding (e.g. TWCF); and (3) Planning, monitoring, and/or executing an organization's program to improve its effectiveness and efficiency.
