About the Position: The incumbent will be assigned to the 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Supply and Services Division, located in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Duties

Requisition parts and supplies through the federal supply system and from commercial vendors. Maintain accountability for proper issue and/or receipt of petroleum, oil, and lubricants. Operate electric, gasoline, or diesel-powered forklift truck in order to lift loads weighing up to 6,000 pounds. Follow general safety practices to safely operate equipment. Use an automated system to input data to maintain inventory of supplies and order products. Perform maintenance on equipment.

Requirements

• Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
• The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
• This position has a requirement to lift up to 70 pounds in the regular performance of duties.
• This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Forklift Operator Certificate within 6 months of entry into the position.
• This position requires the incumbent to work inside and outside, in all kinds of weather, with frequent exposure to heat or cold.
• This position requires the incumbent to work on hard and slippery surfaces, with the possibility of falls, stains from fuels and oils, and possibility of burns from flammable liquids.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Candidates may be advanced without time restriction to positions up to GS-5 if the position to be filled is no more than two grades above the lowest grade the employee held within the preceding 52 weeks under his or her latest non-temporary competitive appointment.
