This position is in the Visitor Experience Operations office. The Deputy Chief Experience Officer (CXO) is a key leadership position that directly supports the CXO in leading and fostering an audience-focused culture at the National Gallery of Art. The Deputy CXO directly supervises the work of the Head of Visitor Experience Operations and the VE Operations office.

Qualifications
Candidates must meet the Qualification Standards Handbook requirements for the GS-301-15.
For this position, specialized experience is at least one year of experience, equivalent in responsibility to the GS-14 level in the federal service, managing a visitor experience function for a museum or cultural institution.

Visitor Experience – Knowledge of techniques and strategies to improve visitor experience.
Financial Management – Skill in the day-to-day financial management operations of a museum office.
Collaboration – Skill in creating and maintaining a collaborative work environment.
Training and Development – Ability to train others at all organizational levels including supervisors, employees, and volunteers.
