THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number PDD0878P01 and is part of the WY Deputy Chief of Staff Logistics, Wyoming Army National Guard. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required.

Duties

This position is located in the Wyoming Army National Guard's Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics/G4 (DCSLOG/G4), Distribution Management Division, supply and Services Branch. Its purpose is to plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage all command supply and services functions. (1) Plans, organizes and manages supply and services functions to include command equipment/property readiness/accountability management. (2) Advises the DOL Logistics Management Officer (LMO) on command supply and services status and recommends support required for current and proposed operations. (3) Maintains current command supply analysis on trends of effectiveness and efficiency. (4) Receives fiscal information from each subordinate function to prepare and review budget estimates for the command supply and services functions. (5) Monitors required unit equipment inventories and is active in the development, scheduling, and execution of special command physical inventories.

Area 1: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ARNG employees assigned to the Deputy Chief of Staff Logistics. Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming National Guard. Area 4: All current Drill Status Airmen and M-day soldiers of the Wyoming National Guard. Area 6: Current military members of the United States military branches or prior service members of one of those military branches. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Army National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position. MILITARY GRADE In-State Applicants: Min: E6 / SSG, O1 / 2LT, WO1 Max: E9 / SGM, O3 / CPT, CW3 Out-of-State Applicants: Min: E6 / SSG, O1 / 2LT, WO1 Max: E7 / SFC, O3 / CPT, CW3 This is not a commissioning opportunity. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Work involves management, direction or administration of a supply program that includes a mixture of technical supply functions or staff managerial or administrative work primarily concerned with analyzing, developing, evaluating, or promoting improvements in the policies, plans, methods, procedures, systems, or techniques of a supply program. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field; experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess at least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-09). Experience, education, or training in supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions; knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system; experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues; experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions. NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. Applicants must provide from (e.g., 02/2015 - 03/2017 or Feb 2017 - Mar 2017) dates and hours worked per week with description of your specialized experience on the resume. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES (KSAs) Knowledge of a broad range of supply program relationships Knowledge of specialized methods and techniques to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of supply programs and operations. Ability to develop and implement procedures/ practices to cover multiple supply objectives. Knowledge of a variety of technical supply operations. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement. DRIVER'S LICENSE: Must possess a valid driver's license.

Graduate Education. Major study--Supply Chain Strategy, quality management, product/process innovation, lean systems, inventory management, supply management, logistics, or course work that required the development or adaptation of supply chain technology and sustainability and provided knowledge equivalent to a major in the supply field.

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or
3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
