THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (T32), PD# D0914000 and is part of the RI AASF. The purpose is to provide storage and distribution, cataloging or supply identification systems, property utilization, or other related supply activities including those associated with automated or manual supply accounting systems.
Duties
Supervises subordinates that are performing materiel management, resource tracking (DLR/CLIX), special TDME/tool transactions and hazardous material accountability. Establishes priorities, assigns work and revises assignments, based on abilities and special qualifications of employees. Establishes performance standards/goals and evaluates performance of subordinates based on attainment of those standards/goals. Performs routine and nonroutine material coordination duties for special programs, maintenance, or production shops. Plans requirements, both quantitative and monetary, to satisfy customer needs. Authorizes procurement and is responsible for funds management. Establishes quality edit procedures and oversees the edit of all documents. Ensures that documents are accurate prior to entry into the automated or manual supply accounting system. Establishes administrative procedures and oversees the flow of documents and reports through the Property Book Officer (PBO) to assure complete, accurate and timely submission of data. Responsible for local management of decentralized and decontrolled items which requires technical intervention to assure effective supply support and economy. Items are less stable or standardized and do not lend themselves to routine control through the use of the computer and variable supply level formulas. Plans requirements, both quantitative and monetary, to satisfy customer needs. Authorizes procurement and is responsible for funds management.

Requirements
- NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. This is an excepted service position that requires military membership in the Rhode Island Army National Guard. To be considered, you must be a current Soldier of the RIARNG.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.

- Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
Experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must have at least 12 months experience, education, or training which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment. Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts. Experience performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management.
