The Talent Acquisition Manager provides leadership to a comprehensive talent acquisition program that supports the court’s mission to attract, retain, and engage talent. The incumbent will provide recommendations on attracting and recruiting a diverse and highly qualified workforce through effective recruitment strategies, taking into consideration employment and industry trends, developments and sourcing and using marketing and communication tools.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in human resources management, business or public administration, or a related field in management or social sciences; plus six (6) years of experience in human resources management, of which three (3) years are specifically in the area of recruitment or talent acquisition. Three (3) years supervisory experience is required. The successful candidate must possess: Ability to communicate in writing to provide clear instructions, information guidance coach, and team build. Skill in establishing and maintaining recruitment networks and alliances with professional, educational and employment communities. Ability to apply and interpret human resource laws, principles, policies, concepts, and practices governing recruitment and placement programs, to provide advice and guidance to officials, supervisors and employees. Ability to source, plan and organize recruitment visits to academic institutions, conferences and job fairs, and other appropriate events. Experience providing position classification and classification advisory services preferred. Certification from the Society of Human Resource Management, International Public Management Association, or other human resource management professional organization is preferred.      Graduation from the Courts’ Management Training Program may substitute for one (1) year of supervisory experience.  You must provide documentation of your management training (i.e. copy of certificate) with your application. *Applicants please be advised that your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience and that you meet the basic qualifications or you will not be determined qualified for this position.Please note that authorization for the release of your adult criminal record revealing any convictions and forfeitures, and any criminal cases currently pending before the courts are required.  If you are selected for the position, a criminal history records check will be conducted.   The incumbent should be an enthusiastic and engaged professional who enjoys working with a diverse group of Court personnel and customers and lives the DC Courts’ values of Accountability, Excellence, Fairness, Integrity, Respect, and Transparency.
