This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Health Security (OHS). The OHS is the principal medical, workforce health and safety, and public health authority for DHS.
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Clinical Psychologist as part of the Psychological Readiness (PR) program.
Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.
Duties
As a Clinical Psychologist, GS-0180-14, your typical work assignments may include:
Manage the activities and projects tasked under Psychological Readiness program, including program planning, implementation, program evaluation, and continuous quality improvement of services.
Maintains an ongoing awareness of organizational development, law enforcement and national security practices and various management concepts as it relates to the psychological health & readiness for the Department.
Facilitate engagement with DHS Components to reinforce coordination and information sharing related to psychological resilience, suicide prevention, psychological readiness, and operational psychology.
In conjunction with DHS Components develop, plan, and measure effectiveness of psychological health and readiness initiatives and programs across the Department.

Qualifications
INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT
This position has an Individual Occupational Requirement that must be met prior to meeting the specialized experience.
Education: Clinical Psychology - For positions at grades GS-11 and above, satisfactory completion of all the requirements for the doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology is required.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in Federal service or equivalent private/public sector experience. For this position, specialized experience is defined as:
Experience to consult, educate, and instruct on matters of psychological health relevant to advising leaders and supporting the readiness needs of employees.
Experience developing, implementing, evaluating programs and policies.
Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to represent the Department and participate in high-level meetings and conferences.

Time-in-grade: Current General Schedule (GS) federal employees, and those that have served in GS positions within the last 52 weeks, must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade, or a combination of the next lower grade level and an equivalent band in the federal service by the closing of this announcement.
