About the Position: This position is located within the Navy Branch Health Clinic Gulfport under the DIR of Clinical Support, Pharmacy. The hours are M-F 0700-1530 with a 30 minute lunch break. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation utilizing DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce.

Duties

Fills prescriptions according to established protocols. Answers routine questions and conveys necessary information to patients to ensure proper administration and use of medications Restocks emergency drug boxes/carts and maintains inventory and locator lists. Maintains records, logs and other documentation in the pharmacy required by directives, laws and clinic policies.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. This position requires a SECRET National Agency Check w/ Inquiries (ANACI) background check.
• This position has been designated as a Drug Testing Designated Position and is subject to a pre-employment screening and random testing thereafter.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination.
• This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination. A candidate selected to this position will be required to sign a statement consenting to annual seasonal influenza vaccination.
• Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
• Lifting requirement up to 45 lbs.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service which includes verifying accuracy of pharmaceutical labels; utilizing automated pharmacy systems to enter and retrieve data; and rotating pharmacy stock. OR Education: Four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major study in pharmacy, or that included at least 24 semester hours in pharmacy-related courses. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.). OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. A Pharmacy Technician License/Certification is highly desired
