Serve as a Program Support Assistant responsible for the day to day clerical and administrative activities for the Miami VA Healthcare System's Housing & Urban Development-VA Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) Program, aligned with the Healthcare for Homeless Veterans Program.
Duties
Perform typing, office automation, record keeping and data transcription work at or above the established minimum proficiency.
Coordinate administrative procedures between the VA Healthcare System and the Northeast Program Evaluation Center.
Provide administrative assistance and guidance to all Medical Center personnel involved, specifically the Social Work Case Managers in Housing & Urban Development-VA Supportive Housing.
Act as liaison between the Medical Center and the VA approved program agencies.
Prepare program reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence relating to the program.
Ensure timely submission of all action items and track performance measures.
Maintain all records pertaining to GSA-leased vehicles, including tracking mileage and usage, scheduling of vehicle maintenance and cleaning.
Assist in timekeeping functions as needed.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 07/25/2024.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05.
The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
Typing Requirement:
This position requires a typing requirement of 40 words per minute.
You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: providing clerical, technical, and/or customer support; receiving and referring phone calls; communicating and treating customers in a courteous, tactful and respectful manner while providing consistent information according to established policies and procedures; and using computer programs to prepare documents.

Physical Requirements: The majority of the incumbent's time spent working at a desk. Physical demands may include reaching, bending, stretching, sitting, and standing, computer key board activity, carrying light loads of records, related to normal office activity. The atmosphere projected by the incumbent must be one that the area is running in an organized, efficient manner.
