About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Intelligence & Security Command, Mission Support Command/ACOFS, G4, Intel Materiel Activity Distribution Division.

Duties

Act as a property administrator in the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff, G4. Provides advice and guidance on supply procedures and requirements. Recommends approval/disapproval of requests for changes to equipment authorizations. Develop and implement supply policies, methods, and procedures to ensure headquarters objectives are accomplished.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a T5 (or equivalent) investigation.
  • All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.

Specialized experience is defined as managing the acquisition of supplies, providing guidance on supply procedures, and reviewing requests for equipment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-09). To substitute education for the experience requirement above, you must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related.
