This position serves as an Assistant Director for Property Management Services located within the Property Management Services (PMS), Facilities and Administrative Services Staff (FASS), Justice Management Division (JMD), United States Department of Justice (DOJ). The incumbent serves as the Assistant Director, PMS who is responsible for policy development, management, and oversight of the department wide programs.

The duties and responsibilities of Assistant Director generally include, but are not limited to, the following:
Serve as the subject matter expert on the Department's property management program and personal property utilization for the Offices, Boards and Divisions.
Serves as the DOJ liaison with the Smithsonian Institution for the Attorney General and manages the Departmental Artwork program, manages, and provides oversight the DOJ Employee Transit Savings (JETS) Program, oversees Gifts from Foreign Governments to the Attorney General and other gifts, and serves as the expert on managing the DOJ Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA).
The Assistant Director, PMS, provides direction and guidance to internal and external stakeholders on all matters related to PMS programs.
Leads and participates in Departmentwide meetings to disseminate information on policy, monitors and evaluates compliance with established guidelines, directs planning, and inventory management of all personal property.
Requirements
- You must be a United States Citizen or National.
- You must successfully pass a security/background investigation and a drug screening.
- You must be a current permanent Department of Justice employee with competitive status or a CTAP/RPL eligible candidate.

Qualifications
To qualify for the position of Assistant Director, (GS-0301-15), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade.
If you are a current Department of Justice employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade.
One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or equivalent band in the Federal service, which includes: Activities, functions, or services accomplished directly or significantly impact a wide range of agency activities, the work of other agencies, or the operations of outside interests, or the general public.
