Duties
This position is the Supervisory Firearms Programs Specialist, (Chief), GS-1801-15, located under the Office of Enforcement Programs and Services, Firearms and Explosives Industry Division in Washington, District of Columbia.
Qualifications
To qualify for 15, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS14 in the Federal, State, or Local government or equivalent public or private sector experience, performing all of the following duties.
Specialized Experience includes:
Interpret and implement firearms and explosives policies and regulations; AND
Apply in-depth knowledge of laws and regulations governing firearms and explosives statutes and related programs; AND
Communicate with a high degree of effectiveness in order to formulate and present conclusions, explain, and interpret factual information, and ensure cohesive and cooperative work efforts; AND
Oversee research and dissemination of technical knowledge and advice relating to firearms and explosives matters to other Bureau offices, Federal, State, local, and foreign law enforcement agencies.
