This AIRCRAFT ORDNANCE SYSTEMS MECHANIC position is located in an Air National Guard Aviation Wing, Aircraft Maintenance Group, Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Weapons Element (Flight Line) and is part of the CA 144 FW.
Duties
THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION
The primary purpose of the AIRCRAFT ORDNANCE SYSTEMS MECHANIC, WG-6652-11, is to troubleshoot, repair, install, modify, test and adjust aircraft ordnance systems, equipment and components. On and/or off-equipment inspection, modification, overhaul, troubleshooting and repair capability of weapons release and gun systems; verifies and analyzes malfunctions, troubleshoots, tests, inspects and loads/unloads conventional munitions; installs/removes weapons delivery equipment, launchers and gun systems.
Qualifications
General Experience: Possess experience or training which demonstrates the ability to repair malfunctions of ordnance equipment and components; Ability to use sketches, electrical diagrams, technical specifications and engineering drawings; Experience which demonstrates skill in the use of test equipment to make electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic checks.
AIRCRAFT ORDNANCE SYSTEMS MECHANIC, WG-6652-11: Must haveat least 18 months experience or training in planning and layout of repair sequence and ability to complete modification, repair and installation of ordnance systems; Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctions and determining remedy where complex relationships exist; Experience in hand tools and the use of a variety of test equipment; Experience in interpreting technical directions, blueprints, sketches, wiring diagrams and manufacturer's specifications.
