As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.Serves as District Manager with line authority for overseeing and directing technical operations within Air Traffic Organization/Technical Operations Districts.
Duties
Directs a highly technical and diverse workforce in ensuring the effective maintenance and repair of National Airspace System (NAS) equipment and facilities. Incumbent will have day-to-day direction over 3-5 subordinate managers as well as functionally integrated teams of operational and support personnel. Interfaces with management across multiple organizational units and integrates projects/programs across multiple service units. Provides coaching, mentoring, and development of staff and organizational capabilities and is responsible for team building throughout the facilities in the District. Sets priorities, assigns tasks and responsibilities, and monitors and evaluates performance of organizational units within the District. Approves leave; and takes or approves corrective/disciplinary actions as appropriate.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
- A one-year supervisor/managerial probationary period may be required.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-K, FG/GS-15.
