You will serve as a Program Support Specialist within NAVAL SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY.
This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
You will provide technical expertise in all aspects of program support.
You will work with command personnel to capture special support requirements and prepares short- and long-term plans to meet those requirements.
You will audit transactions for system improvements and compatibility among major accounts.
You will ensure upper levels of management are advised of pending due dates, potential financial problems, and lack of progress.
You will conduct an annual inventory on items acquired in support of the program.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following;
1. Providing technical expertise in all aspects of program support to include program management, logistics, budgeting, and finance and management, senior level staff
planning, analysis, evaluation, and coordination for special logistics programs.
2. Monitoring the development and progress of numerous projects and identifies delays that may impact the ability to meet command objectives.
3. Assuring timeliness of accounting actions, procedural correctness, and accuracy
of data in the input of transactions into the local financial database.
4. Providing oversight and technical guidance to subordinates in the processing of reimbursable accounts within the funded reimbursable authority from inception to conclusion.
