You will serve as a Training Coordinator in the NAVY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.

Duties

You will perform long and short-range planning project in conjunction with the subordinate commands. You will establish annual goals and objectives to ensure training realization based on redefinition of brad objectives and annual program changes. You will conduct complex studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization’s training programs to improve and optimize productivity and efficient utilization or resources. You will support executive review, deliberation, and decision making through personal input and/or staff coordination as required. You will assist in reviewing the results of assigned functions as administered by subordinates through review of correspondence, recurring reports, discussion with higher headquarters staff, and by consulting and conferring with subordinates. You will perform fiscal, program, and economic management analysis expertise in evaluating Directorate operational readiness and associated support systems.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the excepted service which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: Coordinating and integrating the analysis of a wide range of documents to determine the impact on training, training development, and individual training; Providing initial, annual, and/or periodic training guidance at all levels of classification; Analyzing, interpreting, and directing the implementation of regulations, directives, and procedures affecting training functions; Participating in internal and external meetings and conferences Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
